Anarchism is simple and small, the basics can be understood in a conversation. Anarchism is diverse and vast, its history of countless thinkers and activists could be studied for a lifetime.
Anarchism threatens unjust power in all its forms, and the powerful have been repressing anarchism for over a hundred years. The propaganda against anarchism is strong. Those at the top of the ?hierarchies want us to believe that without them, life would be chaos.
That is a dim view of humanity, that without landlords, bosses, cops, and politicians society would crumble. Resisting this is what makes anarchism a celebration of life: believing in people and our capacity to organize ourselves. We ?build power from the bottom up.
